Betson Enterprises continued its holiday giving efforts with donations to support facilities in the Chicago, IL, area. Team members from Betson Midwest recently visited CC’s Little Village in Chicago to drop off boxes of coats collected in support of the company’s holiday coat drive. The coat drive was the second effort of the holiday season, following a toy drive in December to also support the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago.

CC’s Little Village Club is the oldest of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, founded in 1918, and serves the heart of the South Lawndale community, also known as Little Village. The community includes a large population of Mexican descent. The injection of Latino culture gives the Little Village neighborhood its vibrant and distinct character today. Little Village is the Mexican community’s retail, residential, and cultural capital in the Midwest.

Jersey Cares is a nonprofit organization established in 1993 that works to increase civic engagement in New Jersey by coordinating volunteer opportunities to address community-identified needs. We provide volunteer opportunities to individuals, families, and corporate and community groups. Jersey Cares partners with hundreds of nonprofit agencies to provide service projects that range from serving meals to building greenhouses in urban schools. Jersey Cares is an affiliate of the Points of Light Network, an innovative alliance of volunteer catalysts worldwide.
