H. Betti Inc. Announces Executive Updates
Rick Urba Retires After 40 Years
Carmine Sodora Joins as Corporate Controller
H. Betti Industries Inc., the parent company of Betson Enterprises, the leading distributor of location-based amusement products, announces the retirement of industry veteran Rick Urba. Rick has spent over four decades with the company, most recently as Corporate Controller. Carmine Sodora will join the company as his replacement and new Corporate Controller.
“Rick and I have worked together directing the financial activities of H. Betti Industries since 1980. Our incredible growth from a one-office operation to what we are today could not have been done without Rick building the financial infrastructure to support it,” said Bob Geschine, President of H. Betti Industries. “We wish him well in his retirement.”
With Rick’s retirement, the company is pleased to welcome Carmine Sodora as its Corporate Controller. Carmine brings over 20 years of experience in finance, having served as a Chief Financial Officer and Controller in various industries.
“Carmine brings an extensive knowledge of accounting, financial controls, and audit procedures, and has a great track record of delivering profit improvements, cost-control measures, and overall business growth,” said Catherine Algra, Chief Financial Officer of H. Betti Industries. “We feel he will be an excellent addition, and are excited to welcome him to our team.”
Humbert Betti Sr. founded H. Betti Industries, Inc. in 1934 when the Greenwich Village restaurant and tavern owner started operating jukeboxes in his business and other nearby taverns. Still a family-owned business today, H. Betti Industries has grown to become a leader in the entertainment industry as the parent company of Betson Enterprises and Imperial. Betson Enterprises is the worldwide leader in distributing location-based amusement equipment, parts, and service. Imperial International is a leading wholesaler of home game room products and billiard supplies in the United States.
