2023 Sunrise Day Camp Carnival
American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation has been supporting the Sunrise Association since 2018. With their help, they have provided joy-filled summers to thousands of children whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
The Annual Meeting and Gala of the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) and its Charitable Foundation (AAMCF) took place at the Westin Hotel in Lombard, Illinois, from September 19 to 23. During the Gala, Bob Geschine, President and CFO of H. Betti Industries, was recognized and given the opportunity to donate funds raised to a charity of his choosing. Thanks to Bob’s generosity and the support of AAMCF members, including David Cohen and Allen Weisberg, the Sunrise Association received $175,000, marking the largest donation in AAMCF’s history.
According to Bonni Gould, Sunrise’s Senior Development Director, who attended the event in Chicago and accepted the donation alongside Sunrise President and CEO Arnie Preminger, Bob was deeply moved by his visit to Sunrise Day Camp–Long Island in 2019. He recognized that the AAMA and its members share a common goal with Sunrise: to bring children joy. Allen Weisberg, AAMCF Vice President & CEO of Apple Industries, also supports Sunrise. Allen has been involved with the Sunrise Association for several years and describes them as one of the most dedicated, committed, and compassionate groups he has ever been a part of. He believes that their work has a remarkable impact on the lives of children and their families.

The American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) is an international non-profit trade organization representing the manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, professional service organizations, and location owner/operators of the coin-operated amusement industry. AAMA was founded in 1981 by a small group of amusement coin-operated machine manufacturers concerned with the future of their industry. A Board of Directors, selected by its members, governs the AAMA. Committees work with the Association staff to develop programs to promote and protect the industry. Members donate their time, effort, and expertise voluntarily.
AAMA serves its membership through legislative efforts, promotional arenas, and more. The AAMA’s job is to serve as the voice for these segments of the coin-operated and out-of-home entertainment amusement machine industry.
